12 May 2009 — Expansion of Series 7000 Video Tracker Products

To complement its extensive family of standard tracker products, Electro-Optical Imaging, Inc. is proud to announce three new product offerings, representing the latest in the Series 7000 family of video tracker products.

The Model 7100M Automatic Video Tracker (AVT) is a miniaturized (3.5 x 5 inches nominal) version of the 7000 Series of VME and PCI products and is intended for airborne and limited space availability applications. The design provides the full range of operational performance found in all the 7000 Series tracker products. The 7100M tracker has the additional advantage of supporting full customization to the user's signal and mechanical interfaces. This product expands the utility of the E-O Imaging Series 7000 tracker technology to systems and applications where reduced size, power and weight are key.

The Model 7007 PCI Automatic Video Tracker (AVT) provides the same degree of performance and equivalent features of the Model 7005/7006 Camera Link and HD-SDI trackers but in a PCI configuration. The system has four (4) analog video inputs (standard) and either dual high definition video inputs (720p, 1080i and 1080p) or a single Camera Link (Base, Medium, Full) input. The Camera Link interface handles 640 x 512 sensors at 250 Hz and 1K x 1K sensors at 120 Hz. In addition to the standard PCI and Serial interfaces the system has an embedded Gigabit Ethernet port for increased interface versatility. A wide selection of options is available enhancing the adaptability of the tracker, including a dual target version the Model 7008 product.

The Model 7010 PCI-Express Automatic Video Tracker (AVT) provides the same degree of performance and equivalent features of the Model 7007/7008 PCI trackers but with a PCI Express interface. A dual target version of this tracker with the same superior performance and features is available in the Model 7011 product.

14 July 2008 — Electro-Optical Imaging Successfully Demonstrates Airspace Protection System

Electro-Optical Imaging, Inc., a Melbourne, Florida based company, has successfully developed and deployed a turnkey, transportable tracking system that provides the ability to acquire, track and deter a diverse array of airborne targets. The system was developed for General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products in support of their Counter-ManPADS Airspace Protection System (CMAPS) program to provide precision control of its various optical sensors, as well as the pedestal and the on-board countermeasure. During live-fire testing at NSWC, China Lake, CA, the CMAPS system successfully demonstrated its detection, tracking and targeting of UAVs as well as other airborne targets. 11 December 2007 — General Dynamics to Recognize Electro-Optical Imaging for Support of U.S. Military Program

General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products’ vice president, strategic planning, Phil Hynes, recently hosted a recognition luncheon for Electro-Optical Imaging’s president, George Downey, and employees. The event showcased their efforts on General Dynamics’ ground-based Counter ManPADS Airspace Protection System (CMAPS). General Dynamics partnered with Electro-Optical Imaging to provide the U.S. military with CMAPS, a program that protects against Man-Portable Air Defense Systems (ManPADS). The company was selected by General Dynamics in March 2007 for Electro-Optical Imaging’s expertise in advanced target detection and tracking systems. Electro-Optical Imaging is based in Melbourne, FL, and has a legacy spanning more than 35 years of providing quality tracker and electro-optical instrumentation and systems.

29 October 2007 — Introduction of Series 7000-HD Video Trackers

E-O Imaging, Inc. introduces the Model 7005/7006-HD (High Definition) VME based Edge, Centroid, Correlation video tracker boards, the latest additions to its Series 7000 tracker product line. These trackers take advantage of the latest in DSP and FPGA technology and provide expanded functionality over the Series 6000 tracker family. The Series 6000 and Series 7000 open architecture allows easy incorporation of specialized features and algorithms. The Model 7005/7006-HD standard features and options permit easy adaptation to even the most complex and demanding test range, tactical and surveillance applications.

In addition to handling up to four (4) standard analog video inputs, these new products provide the user two (2) HD-SDI interfaces handling any combination of 720p, 720i and 1080i high definition cameras.

E-O Imaging's Series 7000 trackers also offer an expanded feature set which includes support of sensor arrays up to 2K x 2K, 10/100/1000 Ethernet port, bitmap graphic overlay, real-time image processing kernels, multi-target detection capability and a Target Simulator for operator training, trajectory simulation and mount performance verification.

24 April 2007 — Introduction of Series 7000-CL Video Trackers

E-O Imaging's Model 7005/7006-CL (Camera Link) VME based Video Trackers have been successfully interfaced with the FLIR System's SC8000 MWIR camera for real-time tracking applications. The SC8000, which was initially developed for thermography applications, was designed so that the non-uniformity correction, linearity correction and bad pixel replacement were performed as post processing operations on the imagery. To meet the requirements for real-time tracking using the SC8000, E-O Imaging's Model 7005/7006-CL trackers provides the capability to apply these corrections to each pixel in real-time, with the SC8000 camera operating at a 120 Hz frame rate, with a sensor resolution of 1K x 1K.

E-O Imaging's Model 7005/7006-CL can be adapted to solve unique tracking applications, including specialized camera interfaces and image processing algorithms. These complex functions are performed in real-time to eliminate data latencies found in PC based tracking systems, which negatively impact tracking performance.

March 2007 — E-O Imaging develops advanced tracking technology to deploy field demonstrable system for aircraft protection against shoulder launched missiles.
